Let's Talk

I have had a desire to write books for as long as I can remember. So many stories in my lifetime, but where do I start, will anyone be interested in them, this is a quandry. Through the years people have often said to me,"are you writing a book?" and I have to say "sometime". I think the sometime must be soon. You see I am getting older every day. The time for writing is growing shorter.

It strange to think in terms of a "deadline" in the truest sense of the word, but when you are in your 70s,you have to know that the time to write or perform or develop a new idea is not out there in your future forever now. Of course, I know that many people have new careers in old age and some do their best work in later life, but I wonder, what kind of story should I tell?

Should it be about my lifetime of experiences to share with my grandchildren and great gradchildren in the future, do they care? Should it be for business, telling all of the great ideas I learned as a consultant to business through the years, should it be athletics from work for 20 years helping athletes improve their performance, should it be a love story and a broken dream?
Maybe it could be about experiences as a counselor and learning how to help people restore their life? It could be about travels and experiences in distant lands. Oh what to share, what to tell. Once upon a time>>>>>there was a little Indian baby named Helen born to a young couple in Oklahoma. The middle of the depression, living in the dust bowl, they were married, in love, happy, hard working and willing to fight, work long back breaking work to survive and develop a life...Maybe that is where I should start...... I wonder.
